Deborah Tindle "Life is Your Journey"
Being grateful for all of the obstacles in your life is vital. These obstacles strengthen you as your continue with your journey. This life is your own with no apologies and no excuses. No one to rely on, lean on, or blame. The gift of life is yours– and life is an amazing journey. You are, alone, responsible for the quality of your life. The past cannot be changed, forgotten, changed, edited, or erased. The past can only be accepted. So, keep onward with your journey through life, with smiles in your heart and looking ahead with optimism.
Deborah Tindle "Judgments and Perspective"
You may know a name or heard what that person has done. Remember that you do not know what that person has been through. Do not be the one to pass judgment or spread rumors. Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots. Don’t judge. Period. Rise up and be the person who does the listening, without judgment.
Deborah Tindle "Conflict and Blame versus Walking Away and Silence"
Conflict and blame versus walking away and silence
Some people love conflict and love the blame game. Walk away as the battle they are fighting is not with you– it is with themselves. Realize that some people are removed from your life for a reason. So think before you chase after these people. Being strong doesn’t mean fighting the battle. Being strong means being able to walk away with your head held high. Being strong also sometimes means being silent. Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing. Some people are not even worth your words. Silence is powerful. Those who love to battle don’t expect silence. They expect words, motion, offense / defense, and back / forth. Silence speaks when words cannot. Have strength to walk away– and have strength to stay silent.

Deborah Tinde "The Past"
The past should be a learning experience, not an everlasting punishment. What is done is done. The past shouldn’t be a burden but a learning experience. Accept your past as it cannot be changed, edited, erased, or forgotten. What defines you is how you RISE after you fall. So, never look back as it distracts from the now. Forget what hurt you but never forget what it taught you. When something bad happens, you can (1) let it define you -or- (2) let it destroy you -or- (3) let it STRENGTHEN you. When you change the way you look at things (PERSPECTIVE), the things you look at change– which includes your past.
Deborah Tindle "Broken Trust"
Broken Trust? You may forgive that person but you will never trust that person again. Trust is like broken glass– once it is broken, it will never be the same again. But don’t blame the person for disappointing you. Instead, blame yourself for expecting too much from him / her. Further, being a good person does not guarantee that others will be good people too. You only have control over yourself about how you chose to be as a person. And as for the others, you can chose to accept them or walk away.
Words may lie but actions will always tell the truth. Liars are weak– they are not strong enough to face the truth. With actions, someone who won’t lift a finger to call and / or spend time with you, lift five fingers and wave goodbye. Spend time with those that love you unconditionally. Do not waste time on those who only love when conditions are **right** for them.
Only trust those who see three things in you. First: sorrow behind your smile. Second: love being your anger. Third: reason behind your silence.

Deborah Tindle "Significance of Balloons"
Balloons have many metaphorical meanings. Balloons can be used to describe both holding on and letting go.
“There are times in life when people must know when not to let go. Balloons are designed to teach small children this.” Terry Pratchett
“There are times in life when people must know WHEN to let go. Balloons teach us this.” Deborah Tindle
Balloons signify trying to hold onto something but also signify letting go. A balloon that escapes your grasp and is unable to be retrieved is a very sinking, empty, and scary feeling– it’s lost into the wild blue yonder, never to be seen or touched again. With life, holding onto something that is not staying with you by choice (tugging on the balloon strings, so to speak), is also very sinking, empty, and scary feeling… that is until you let it go and feel how freeing the release is. Sometimes we struggle so hard to keep something or someone with us, that we don’t see that the answer lies in letting go. Blush’s lyrics point to this, “Embrace the light, the silence will be broken once you face your fright. Reflection of the being who you are inside who shines so bright and get you up and away.” Blush Up Up and Away
Also, with the past, many times people focus on the past to the point that the past brings them down. Take the balloon strings and fly up and away with the balloon– past the past and into the now. Those experiences and people from the past who weigh you down need to be left behind. Float up and away into the heights of happiness and sunshine of today… the now. As Kid Cudi so eloquently puts it, “up up and away ’cause they’re gonna judge me anyway so whatever.” Kid Cudi Up Up and Away
